Official Baltimore County Contacts

For current jail custody, start with the Baltimore County Detention Center. The facility is operated by the Baltimore County Department of Corrections, while the Baltimore County Sheriff's Office handles court and warrant duties rather than running the jail.

Baltimore County Detention Center

720 Bosley Avenue
Towson, MD 21204
24/7 hotline: 410-512-3200
Corrections office: 410-512-3400
Office hours: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Use these routes based on the kind of record or agency action involved:

  • For someone who may be held in the county jail, use the jail inmate records page and call the Detention Center hotline when online tools do not answer the question.
  • For booking photos, review jail roster mugshots and expect to use a Maryland Public Information Act request if a photo is releasable.
  • For charges, case numbers, bail review, and hearing dates after arrest, use court records after a jail arrest and Maryland Judiciary Case Search.
  • For warrant and court-service duties, use Sheriff R. Jay Fisher's Baltimore County Sheriff page at baltimorecountymd.gov/departments/sheriff.
  • For child-support warrants, contact the Sheriff's child-support warrant route at 410-887-3151 or childsupportwarrants@baltimorecountymd.gov.
  • For police non-emergency help, call Baltimore County Police at 410-887-2222.
  • For county records not posted online, use the Baltimore County Office of Law PIA route at baltimorecountymd.gov/departments/law/pia-requests.
  • For sentenced state prisoners, use the Maryland DPSCS incarcerated individual locator rather than the county jail.
  • For federal or immigration detainees, use the federal BOP locator, U.S. Marshals District of Maryland, or ICE locator as the facts require.
